      Hello everyone! New here! ;)

Hey everyone! I have just joined this site today as i had discovered lucid dreaming on google whilst looking up dreams! I was looking up dreams as i have been very fascinated by mine for quite a long time now and love dreaming! I remember a lot from my dreams and wake up wanting to go back to sleep to carry on dreaming. Experts say that you only dream in the last stages of your sleep but i dream any time in my sleep, like for example if i go sleep and wake with in two hours i still remember dreaming. When i first heard of lucid dreaming today i felt like some one was explaining what i had been feeling for ages. I don't think i can control it completely but do feel like i can a bit so far without even knowing! It's just weird and hard to explain. I remember dreams from being a child very vividly and constantly have vivid dreams that i do not want to wake up from. Sometimes i can make myself go back to sleep and carry on from the dream i had just left. I can recognise being in a dream but cannot control anything i do in it! So when i discovered lucid dreaming today I'm very intrigued and want to be able to master it, with help!

      Welcome to dv!

The best place to start off is HERE
That should get you on your feet.

Once you read through that, do a little research on the technique(s) you think fit you best.
I'd highly suggest MILD to all newcomers, you can read this manual right here for more info- http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/naiyas...hnique-119050/

Also, feel free to browse through the Wiki

Yes, it is possible to dream while not in REM sleep, however those won't be quite as vivid. Still, 2 hours does seem plenty long. Not quite sure what "experts" you've been talking to, but dream sleep occurs at the end of ever sleep cycle during the night. Usually at 90 minute intervals.

Have any other questions? Ask away! We're here to help.

      Good luck dreaming ^^

Thank you! Also i have always had a tendency to talk in my sleep, my mother, brother and sister does too. Plus when i was pregnant it got worse and i sometimes would sit up whilst still asleep and my eyes would be open and would be shouting at my partner to turn the television off when it was off. Then i would wake up whilst shouting, be embarrassed then tell him to shut up and lie back down. It happened a few times when i were younger and like once or twice since i has my daughter which she is 2 now. Plus also my brother would be sat up with his eyes open and would be backing away from me like i was a monster or something scared out of his mind, crying. I would slowly try to wake him and say its ok its just me to calm him down. But think he has very bad dreams compared to me and would like to help him also if i can master this! I just read here that lucid dreaming can naturally occur so that's why i must of felt like i had experienced it before with out even knowing! Do you think that it coukd ever be a bad thing in any way possible being able to lucid dream? Like if you have had bad life experiences? Thank you once again

Really, I can't possibly think of any negative affects of lucid dreaming. As for you brother, I would most definitely tell him about lucid dreaming, especially if he suffers from chronic nightmares.

I cant think of any way that lucid dreaming is bad. Basically its like taking on a more active lifestyle, it only has benefits.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

I can't really tell if what you are having are vivid dreams or lucid dreams. But please do read the tutorials for lucid dreaming and maybe you will recognize your experiences in them. Looking forward to your post. Happy dreams
