well my name is mike, 17 years old from the Netherlands and i had some lucid dreams lately.

i always had them as a kid, some time ago me and my friends were talking about lucid dreaming, they didn't Never had them so i thought it was a gift :p then all the old memories came back. (lucid dreams)
1 thing i can't really get under control is that i get too excited when i know im dreaming, now i'm keeping a dream journal for like a week.

back when i was a kid, i could jump everywhere i wanted, imagine everything i wanted and do everything now days i can't just because of the excitment, i try to control it by going to a less plessure place. i can't discribe the place, it isn't scary or anything, it's just a world with less excitment.

im hoping to get more lucid dreams. does it really work by practicing? like checking if your awake or not?

      Welcome to the forums!
The same for me, dream control were alot easier when i were a kid. You didnt see things like flying as impossible back then, i guess.
Ofcourse! Before i knew what Lucid Dreaming was, i got like, once a year maybe. But when i was really into it a few years back, i had it more then once a week. Check out some tutorials in the "Attaining Lucidity" section: Attaining Lucidity
Just read alot, try different techniques and keep a dream diary to keep the interest up, and your get more of them, they will be more vivid and you will be able to controll them better. Just keep at it. Once again,
welcome to the forum. Enjoy your stay!

haha my dream diary is like, the first week just a little bit of text, now last night i can remenber much more i have a whole story right now, it really amaze me. for a week now im checking myself if i'm awake or not, like trying to put my hand trough the other hand, stuff like that. but non of the time i remember thinking of it while dreaming, i do it all day long atleast 5/6 times an hour and asking myself if im awake or not.

also i'm trying this technique (idk how it's called) when you just lay there, all still. ignore all the signs your brains send to the other parts of your body to check if your ready to fall asleep. then i think of a place and see everything really happining in front of me, once i noticed in in that spectaculair world i always get kinda scarred out of it. just woke up again. even tho it ain't no scary nor am i trying to get out of it.

I know, Dream Recall goes extremely fast to build up. And dont worry, it will come. Just question everything, and your dreams will start increasing, believe me!
Your probably talking about WILD/VILD. Just remember, its nothing dangerous. Just keep trying, and if things get scary, calm yourself with that its just a dream.

Keeping a dream journal will be a huge help. What have you been doing lately to have lucid dreams again?

untill now it just had LD's by accident, but i really can just close my eyes and think of a nice place, and be there. but every time when im at that place i'm like: oh rlly i can move myself etc so i always wake up.
it's a tricky thing that i'm trying to ignore.
also i'm doing tests if im asleep or not, wich i can't remember doing it while sleeping :p even though if i read my dream journal, it all sounds weird. but while dreaming i accept like everything.

i can really see loads of progress with my dream journal, my first dream i wrote (a week ago) down were like 6 lines of text, right now i've got like 30/50 lines.
and it got more and more by the day.

there's a link i wanted to post from youtube, but the forum wouldn't let me.
but it really shows how it was back when i was a kid, also in the same order. like first the jump, slowing down a fall, moving super fast, making a fireball with my hands and shoot it, till flying like superman. it surprised me.
