Well i went to sleep repeating "Next time you are dreaming, you will realise you are dreaming" and did this for about a minute and then got fed up. I then went to sleep normally. Then i went into a dream and suddenly decided to check if i was in a dream i realised i was then everything went black and i felt myself slipping away, i tried to stay calm but no luck. Is this the point i should have spun around, and was this MILD? Thanks.

It sounds like it could have been MILD... Spinning at this point might have been a good idea, if you could have managed it, i've never tried it myself...

I find it difficult to stay lucid in most cases I have tried this . I personally would suggest staring at your hands or the ground. Something stable to maintain your lucidity.
