Hi, welcome to the board...i'm not sure thre is a 'faster' way to attain lucidity...i think personally it all depends on the person, mainly these factors:

* The level of recall the person has

*How much they want to have a lucid dream, how dedicated they are to documenting their dreams and performing reality checks. (there's nothing like the power of suggestion!)

*Sleep patterns of the person concerned. An insomniac would probably find it difficult to recall one dream, let alone go lucid (i could be wrong here)

I also think that in spite of how much you want to have a lucid dream, sometimes it just takes time, practice, patience and dedication.
Also trying too hard doesn't actually help. If you go to bed one night and don't have a lucid dream, don't beat yourself up about it. It basically gives you a complex about lucid dreaming, that you can't do it. Therefore, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
(I know,i've been there)
Just tell yourself that it doesn't matter, there's always tonight, or the night after.
For me, it happens when it happens.

Hope this helps! And if you have any more questions, PM a dreamguide! They'll be happy to help you out!
