      New here!

I have had a few very lucid dreams in the past but wasnt really sure what it was all about or that I could possibly control them.

Recently I had what I would consider sleep paralysis. I was laying in my recliner taking a nap mid day knowing that I had to get up at some point. I remember trying to wake up but not being able to. My mind was working but my body wasnt. I know my eyes were closed but I could see the whole room and I could see my my nose. It almost felt like an out of body experience. It felt like I was looking down at myself telling myself to wake up. Thats when I freaked out a little and fought the dream until I awoke. It felt like an eternity. It was scary!

Thats what brought me to this website. I plan on continuing my lucid dreaming and mastering it. I feel like a total noob trying to explain all of my ideas and emotions, but my dreams are almost unexplainable. Time to start a dream journal?

      Welcome to the forum!

Sounds a little like a False Awakening more than SP, though the effects are often reported as similar.

Scary experiences occur when things seem too real, but that's why many of us are here. We do have a section for OBE if you are interested in learning more about the subject.
