      Help with my dream sign

Hi everyone, i am new to lucid dreaming and have been closely observing my dream signs. My probel wit this is that my dream sign is people from my school, in nearly all of dreams people of my school are involved. I might know my dream signs but i cant do anything with them because i am most of the time around people from my school. I have not managed to figure out that im dreaming once because i cant tell the difference.
Please someone tell me how i can figure out if im dreaming of not, knowing my dream sign.

      Welcome to DV Michiell!
It sounds to me like you need to start to RC when you see your dream signs, now I know this sounds awkward as you don't want to be doing obvious RC's at school around your friends, but stick with me.

There are many RC's that you can do just simply in your head, with no need to alert anyone else to the fact that you suspect you could be sleeping. (and more importantly avoiding those four words.... "what ARE you doing?!")

For instance, at the start of the day when you first see your friends you could do some internal RC's. Some examples of these are asking yourself, how did I get here? This is because in your dreams, a lot of he time, you will just 'spawn' into a location with no clue how you got there. Another thing you could ask yourself is: how long have I been here, I find my perception of time in dreams is awful.

You can also do my favourite public reality check, the disguised nose plug!
I start off by pretending I have an itchy nose and then when everyone attention is diverted, hold my nose and try to breathe through it!

When you see your dream signs it's important to reality check to test if your dreaming, obviously of you don't do this, you'll never know!

      Good luck .

Simply because you can breathe, doesn't mean your alive, or that you really live....

I think it is good that you are around your dreamsign alot. Many people have then opposite problem! do the noseplug RC every time you switch classes and see new people?

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Another good RC is telling yourself "if this is a dream, I can levitate" and expect to start floating up. Each time you RC, you should also do awareness training. It's basically asking yourself if you are in a dream and for a moment believing that you are. Then you examine your surrounding if you see anything out of order and ask yourself how you got there, what you did 5 min ago, and so on.

Also, you should RC at other, random times. It will help you get lucid in case there are no classmates in your dream. Post your questions and have fun.

Hmm have you looked into the different induction techniques? Here is a summary of the basic ones: http://www.dreamviews.com/f151/begin...son-ii-131245/

Let us know if there's anything that catches your eye! Or maybe there's a technique that you think would best fit your schedule or lifestyle?

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
