Thread: hi

Hi i'm new figured id introduce myself, I'm 25 years old, live on the west coast, have hypnopompic hallucinations. no auditory that I'm aware of, only visual. I've had these since i was 5 years old and usually recall every single one of them.

i rarely see the basic "shadows, spiders, insects" i see more moving objects in my room, blinds opening, waves of light, most significant are the actual detailed ones, a man staring at me through the window, writing on the wall glow in the dark writing all over my walls tried to read it but it was in a different language etc.. ask me about them if you want

HI in the form of Hypnagogia (falling asleep) or its counterpart Hypnopompic imagery (upon waking) of which you describe can be fascinating in its own right. It is a highly creative state IMO, often overlooked, and I have seen in some cases it is given the demeaning title of 'noise' in people's ultimate quest to lucid dream via a WILD.

I get quite a bit if I'm fairly relaxed where I just simply manipulate, or play about with it, etc.
When I was a kid with a bad fever then I used to have really strong HI, even to the point of just shutting my eyelids when awake where I could see scenes and things.

That's certainly interesting! Just wondering, what happens after you have these hallucinations? Do you fall instantly asleep..or have you ever tried manipulating them?

Honestly they haven't allowed me to see them for long. I have tried to watch them, focus on them but they always go away, and I typically always fall right to sleep. I have one reoccurring one, only happened a few times but I see glow in the dark writing all over the walls and ceiling. I will make a new post about it actually
