      Hello

      I'm Med0 from Bosnia. Im a Serb btw .
I never heard about this site until 15 minutes ago on a infograph about lucid dreaming.
I've always had vivid dreams and I tried inducting dreams with my alarm clock a long time ago, before knowing I could control my dreams.

I just set my alarms apart 15-25 minutes. I set maybe 3 to 5 alarms. So I sleep for good 5 to 7 hours, the alarm wakes up me,I kill it immediately, then I stay awake for maybe a minute or so,and then fall asleep. Still Im aware and in that minute or more if I say to myself to dream something,I get it. Its an exhausting method sometimes, but it works. And I can remember my dreams now pretty well.

But controlling dreams is harder. When I first read about LD,I tried doing it. And I got it a few times. But I just got too excited and poof,IM awake.
Also that damn WILD method scared me for life one time...
So I came here to master Lucid Dreaming and I see that this is a great community.

      Welcome Med0

Interupting the sleep like that is a very effective way to get more aware in the dreams, perhaps even an guaranteed way.

I used to do that as well, but when it's school days it makes me tired for the rest of the day so I stopped using it.

But I am a glad to hear that someone can use it without that effect. When it comes to dream control you should find ways to get more aware of what is going on in the dream, also called awareness.
Awareness is knowledge of something and sometimes in our dreams we are not aware of things like that the dream situation is not important, that dream characters aren't real, that you have control or that you have a sleeping body in a physical bed. When you are aware of all these four you will have more awareness in the dream and it will be easier to control the dream.
When I get lucid my first goal is actually to wake myself up so I can return to the dream and be aware of these four factors immediatelly with the help of the DEILD method, also called Dream Chaining.

For general dream control you can either explore the dream yourself and learn totally by yourself, or you can go to the dream control section on this forum and get some inspiration, but remember to see it as guidelines and not fact.

When it comes to fear of WILD or anything really, you should take this quote into consideration "Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more imporant than fear". Consider your fear and get an answer to what is stopping you, and see if you really want to let that stop you from getting a lucid dream. And if you can direct the fear to something good.
If you are for example afraid of Slenderman, try to see him as a good guy and if you meet him in a dream make him your friend and your guide.

This is of course only possible if you realize one key thing: Nothing except yourself and your own fear can hurt you in a dream.

Enjoy your stay and sweet dreams

The very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
