Hey there. Congrats on your lucid!

With practice you will learn to be able to control your dream better and not wake up when you become lucid. Usually people get so excited when they realize that they are dreaming that they tend to wake up. So as soon as you think "hey I'm dreaming" do a Reality Check...this will help you calm down, will allow you to more clearly Know that you are dreaming so your mind cannot trick you into forgetting and falling back into a regular dream, and it will make your lucid more clear and hopefully last longer.

As soon as you get that thought that you are dreaming try sticking your finger through your palm, or holding your nose shut and trying to breathe in through it, or simply try to float/fly. Once you have confirmed that you are dreaming with a reality check you can try using verbal commands such as "stabilize lucidity" or "increase lucidity now" etc. You should typically use verbal commands while looking at and examining your hands or something else in alot of detail so that your lucid will become much clearer.

Anyways...good luck and feel free to ask if you have any questions.
      -nina
