      Smile Hey Lucid Dreamers :)

      Hi Guys,

My name is Simon and I have always had an interest in dreaming, I eventually learnt about Lucid Dreaming and began researching it. Had my first Lucid Dream when I was 17 through repeating "1 am I dreaming? 2 am I dreaming etc..." when lying in bed until I fell asleep.

After my first successful Lucid Dream, I kept on trying and nothing happened until a few months later when I had another one and I had given up. Recently I haven't been trying to LD until I told my friend about it and he gave feedback with positive results which motivated me to start trying again and so I found this awesome place.

I have tried many methods of lucid dream inductions but was never successful with any but my own weird ways. I would like to start trying again and this time with help from a professional community of expert lucid dreamers After I master the techniques and so on I would eventually like to try to experiment with Astral Projection but that is a story for a different time.

I hope I can learn a lot from here

      Welcome to Dreamviews, Simon!

Well, we all read tons of tutorials, but eventually everybody develops his own method. We are all so different and so our experiences and what works/doesn't work will differ. It's good to start by reading tutorials to learn the basics and then adapt them for yourself.

Have you read any tutorials on this site? Most of them are in DV Wiki, but yu can find them in Induction techniques forum. You can also check out our DV Academy to see, if you find a class you like.

You might like the Beyond dreaming forum (AP, OBE, shared dreaming...)

So go ahead, take a look and post your questions. Happy dreams

If you find something that works for you, stick with it. Try to figure out why it works for you. You are lucky to have a friend who is interested in lucid dreaming. Talking about it and staying excited about it will be a huge help.
