      Hello everyone! :)

Hello there, my name is Kate and I am sixteen.
I am so excited to be a part of this site. I've always used dreams as a way to escape my life when I wasn't happy with it. I've only lately discovered lucid dreaming and have been fascinated with it ever since I've found out about it. It's truly amazing. I really hope I can get better at lucid dreaming with the help of this site and the lovely members on it.
So hello everyone, I hope I make friends here because I don't really have many in real life, haha.

We all bid you welcome, don't worry about making friends, DV is the friendliest place on earth If you want to get good at lucid dreaming you should write down your dreams every day so your recall improves and practice a technique. I find that having a specific goal for the night on my mind helps alot with getting lucid.

      Welcome to DV!

Dreams are heavily influenced by real life and if you're not happy in real life, your dreams can get pretty dark and have an overall unpleasant theme to them. Make sure you put your real life friends before dreaming ones

      Welcome Kate

I first started out with lucid dreaming as a way to escape my life when it felt dull, although I later realized that it isn't only a way to escape the life but also a way to change it!

And yes as the others said if you need any help ask our wonderful members and oneironauts or the kind Dream Guides
      Sweet dreams!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Everyone on this site is very friendly and helpful, so you won't have trouble making friends. To get started, I would check out This beginner's guide to lucid dreaming. It has all the basic info you need to know. You should also check out the Dreamviews Wiki for some tutorials. Also just look around the forums and post some more! If you have any questions, just ask. I would be happy to help.

      Good luck getting lucids!

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

The very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
