      Cool Helllooo there!

Hi guys how's it going? I've been lucid dreaming for about a year(ish) now, lurking around the internets (subsequently these forums^^), decided to make an account and share my experiences/thoughts and such! I have pretty good dream control usually once I realize and state to myself that I am dreaming, but other times I feel my dreams going out of control and leading me to very scary & bad places! I basically came to find some techniques on avoiding these bad "trips" (full disclosure, i also have delved into the rabbit hole of psychadelics^^) as well as learn some new techniques to take me further into the insanity! {For example, about 3 days I was having an awesome time partying and flying around, ended up finding this girl who i really like (irl), and then a huge wasp(im talking size of a hand wasp) attacked both of us and stung my arm, the pain hurt so bad I woke up!} It's stuff like this I want to get away from, but anyways you guys seem like a cool & highly knowledgeable community! Also I get these weird feelings sometimes like I've dreamed something and it actually happens, sort of like premonitions but I'm way into science to buy that!haha

I also want to find out what your experiences/effects on your dreams are while on/consuming psychoactives prior to sleep, I have a few theories of my own!

oh and my name is vasili!

      Hey Vasili, welcome to DreamViews!

When you start getting into dream scenarios you don't like, you can try teleporting to another dream scene. You can conjure up a portal, or walk throug a wall or door, or even dive through the ground. You may also confront it, especially if it's a recurring thing. It might be better to face it and ask what it wants, etc. If you want, you can fight it, maybe zap it or something. Lastly, you can turn it into something more pleasant directly, like maybe use a wand or something to turn it into something nicer. If things start attacking you, just try to think you won't feel any pain. If you do feel pain, heal it!

As for the premonitions, well there are some theories about precognitive dreams, so that could be very possible. You can read more stuff about that in Beyond Dreaming.

Unfortunately I haven't tried using psychedelics prior to sleep so I can't comment about that one :3

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Welcome vasiliasoneiros

An easy definition of dreams I like to use is that dreams are our subconscious, memories and emotions. So dreams are literally an reflection of yourself.

If that is true, dreams is an experience of our own personality.

This is why it is important to think about your dreams, and try to understand the meaning of them atleast if you want to learn and grow from your experiences or well prevent wasps from disturbing your experiences.

I don't take psychadelics I have a friend though that does and I am sure you know that it is important to be in a balanced mental state before using them.

Think of the drug (and dreams) as a powerful ally that only will give you what you already are, but amplified. If you are scared, nervous or depressed the dreams and drugs will make you a thousand times more terrifyied, anxious and depressed. However if you go into a state of love and joy you will recieve experiences that will provide you love and joy.
I don't have any experience with drugs so don't take this as fact, I do have experience with dreams though so when it comes to that this principle applies anyway.

But what I mean is that you should always be in control of your experience with drugs and have respect for it.

Your experiences will effect your life and thereby your dreams, so the experiences you have with drugs will create cosequences for your dreaming life as well.

But you choose if they are going to be good or bad.

That's all I can say But I hope you'll find your way so good luck and Sweet trips and dreams

When things start to turn dark or frightening, I like to change my attitude and outlook. I find that trying to change the dream only creates a combative atmosphere. If I change myself and my expectations, the dream naturally follows. It sounds corny, but it seems to work for me.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, http://www.dreamviews.com/showthread...92#post1962592

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
