      Hello,i think i'm new...

I'm Sorin, and I am new on this forum but I don't know if I'm new in lucid dreaming.

So,last year I think I had 1 LD experience without my will.I don't know what I did,I just suddenly wake up in my dream but I didn't manage to control it.I tried and tried to experience it again but didn't work (or maybe it work but I don't remember). Now I know I was something like:"I don't know what I'm doing" because I didn't read nothing about it.So I gave up.

Last week a friend told me he tried a OBE and he sh*t his pants. And I'm not talking metaphorical! After this I start searching all about this kind of "strange phenomenons" (how I called them first) and found some videos on youtube but most importantly:LaBerges book. But just 30-40% from it.The good news is I end up here. And dream control sounds more interesting for the moment.

So yesterday I start writting in my DJ.I rememberd one dream (with good details I think) and 2 things from another (I think it was the first dream because I punched my wall from no reason a body reflex I hope!?!and I was to lazy to look at the clock ).Last night I tried a WILD but didn't work,I didn't managed to control my thoughts but my eyes start spinning very fast.Is this normal? Anyway, this morning I didn't remember anything.I stand like an hour in front of my notebook and tried to remember something...so I had a lost night

It's a waste of time to try LD techniques if I am new in this?My enthusiasm can have a negativ effect?
(if I go to bed with the thought "i want to remember this dream").Binaural beats really work? And what kind of binaural beats I have to use?I mean, for what range?(theta,alpha,delta...)
Sorry if they are stupid questions but some things can't be understand from a guide.Others experiences always help.

Some would say that it is important to be good at dream recall before beginning to practice LD techniques, although I don't really agree with this. I think achieving lucidity in itself improves your dream recall. Enthusiasm is SUPER important, if your not absolutely ecstatic about LD'ing then I think it will be harder to achieve.

I am an absolute fanatic I have read dozens of articles and started reading a 400 page book on lucid dreaming. Its to the point I am making sure LD is constantly on my mind, even during work. I don't allow this to interfere with my life though, I am just taking it seriously. You can look at my activity in the past 7 days, I have really tried to ingrain my self with the community and absorb the bountiful amounts of knowledge that is on these forums. Everyone here is extremely helpful so you won't have any problems with having your questions answered in a timely manner.

The eye spinning is normal, and in general is refereed to as "noise" (along with any other distractions when you are trying to lay still and focus). I don't have any experience with a successful WILD but I can tell you it is a bit more challenging then the other techniques as it requires a strong sense of awareness which most people don't have in the beginning.

I read a bit about binural beats but then decided not to bother with it as I like the sound of nothing, to me silence is a binaural beat, contrary to popular belief silence has a sound and if you pay attention you can hear it and learn to enjoy it.

None of your questions were stupid, and I hope I answered you fully. I'm sure another member will chime in and give you more information. Feel free to ask me anything and I will answer to the best of my ability.

Oh, and Welcome to Dream Views!

EDIT: One more thing, be careful with OBE's from what I've gathered this community generally regards AP and OBE's as not scientifically verifiable thus not real. A lot of member believe they are just intense lucid dreams.

Thanks.I surely look at your activity.I think I becoming a fanatic myself.I want to experience this again very bad. What is the sens of life if you don't know nothing about your own body,or what your mind can do?I hope my scumbag brain will understand that dreams are important to me and at least let me recall them!
What book can you recommand me?It will be hard to find it in Romania (considering I found just 2 articles about LD in romanian and 1 was on wikipedia) but I will try.

Of course,OBEs are not in my plan right now...or in close future.

This website has a wiki with a list of articles and tutorials (button next to forum at top right), try starting there. Right now I am reading "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge, a pioneer in lucid dreaming.

I recommend that book as well. It reaches you everything you need to know. I think you should educate yourself while getting recall and try and see if you are a natural WILD or DILD.

      Note. LDing takes time.

I remember just parts from one dream from last night.2 days ago I remembered talking with 2 persons, last night I talked again with them but I can't figure out who they are.I can't see their faces. Can they be a DS?The difference between 2 days ago and last night it's that I remember what happened next. It's good, isn't?

Today I will start reading LaBerge and tonight I will use binaural beats to see if it'll have an effect on me.I hope I don't speed up things and have zero results.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream Guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

I hope to save you some time by giving you a link to a thread we all put together on the topic Sleep Paralysis. There has been so much misinformation and confusion on this topic, that after a few days on the sight, you would surely run into confusing statements refering to SP. Save yourself some frustration and read this post if you want to know about SP, http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/sleep-...lained-136993/

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
