Hello InfernoTank, welcome to DV! How long have you been interested in dreaming?

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I've been interested in lucid dreaming for about 2 years, and about dreaming itself... I'm not. I'd like to find the scientific reasons behind it, but I am prone to nightmares.

      Welcome to DV!

If you have a recurring nightmare you can always turn it into a dream sign. I used to have nightmares about being kidnapped as a kid and after a while I started realising I was dreaming because I was afraid.

      Welcome to DV InfernoTank.
Understanding how our dreams work can be a daunting quest but well worth it. Lucid dreaming is great. Once you find the technique that works for you that's when the adventure begins. My nightmares also stopped as soon as I found the philosophy that I could believe in. Take note of what Matte87 says about dream signs.

Imagine a place where everything that can happen, does happen; where past, present, and future are all together; a kaleidoscope of worlds – form without substance, ripples upon ripples upon waves upon waves of pure experience – limitless worlds of possibility, existing beyond time ... This is the world ... we visit each night in our dreams.
