Thumbs up Hi! I am a long time Lucid dreamer that never had the chance to share with anyone. :)

      Hi everyone,

I started lucid dreaming at the age of 10, until the age of 15. I am now 40. I took a break at 15 since I felt almost not normal and had no one to share with that would understand what I was talking about. I allowed myself to start again about 1-2 years ago (was 38) and now I guess I need to share with people. I somehow now feel like "I am on a mission" with all this.

I feel that someone that knows lucid dreaming cannot quite see life the same way someone who has no idea that this thing exists. In some way, it confuses me. I hope one day I will feel that Lucid dreaming really has brought me real help with my life. I wish it will also provide me with answers about life mysteries (like "What am I?", "How did I get here? etc. etc."), nothing less.

One thing I would love to prove myself is that this Lucid dreaming thing is not just an "all in my head thing" and I sincerely hope I will be able to connect those lucid dreams with reality. Not just my reality, but other's too. I wish also that I could prove myself (and the world, why not?) that it is possible to meet others in the world of dreams and interract with real people, unequivocally. I may be "a dreamer" but I wish this knowledge could be shared with the world and that, in my lifetime, new dimensions to life become unlocked for humanity. I mean, life is so mysterious... why not?

It may sound ambitious but this is how I feel. Yep!

It will be a great pleasure and honnor to share with you with respect. See you in there!

Ah you're so lucky to have been lucid dreaming so young. Sometimes I wish I had known sooner than age 26 but perhaps I was not open enough until then. I understand the feeling of "magic" with lucid dreams. There is so much to discover and so much that is unknown about it. Just when I think I have answers, some crazy anomaly will present itself to me and open new ideas and possibilities. I love the shear mystery and undiscovered country that my subconscious holds hiding in the dark corners of my mind. I hope you find what you are seeking as I know you'll find solace in knowing that there are so many of us lucid dreamers here on the forum with the same aspirations and passions.

Welcome to the forum Pierre. I'm very envious of your ability to lucid dream at age 10.
      Happy dreaming.

Hi ! Welcome to DV !

just curious: how did you stop having LDs ? you just decided no to ?
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way

Thank you Xanous, oainac and VagalTone!

Yes, I started at young age and let me tell you: internet did not exist in years around 1985! lol

VagalTone: Yes, in some way I stopped by deciding not to.

In those years, around the age of 10, I would induce lucid dreaming by, as I was falling asleep, telling myself over and over: "If I see anything strange, it is a dream. If I see anything strange, it is a dream." Over and over again. I did this in a very effective way, so much (too much) that in the end, I would realize all the time that I was dreaming and all the dreams would stop pretty much. I was concerned that this could be not too good for me. So I stopped repeating myself the "If I see anything strange, it is a dream" and tried pretty much to act as if I did not notice I was dreaming. Lucidity pretty much stopped this way, around the age of 15. But I knew later in my life I would get back to this, so here I am, 25 years later. All in! lol
