Hey DV, I'm Guy, 17. I've learned about LDing about a year ago, but I've never really committed to it. I hope that now, with enough effort and commitment I''ll be able to do it! Many thinks to DV for the extremely organized and detailed guides and tutorials, you guys really make me want more to master LDing!
Since I've already created an introductory thread, I might as well use it to ask a few questions I've had trouble finding answers for:
a. Is there any point in writing down dreams of which I remember nearly nothing? For example, I recalled a dream in which all I could remember was what hero I was playing and a few items I had (you gotta be pretty damn addicted to dota 2 to even have dreams about it, I guess), and all I had was a frozen picture of the screen in my mind. Is that worth writing down?
b. I've memorized a few reality checks (nose, clock, reading, writing, gravity, locations, lights and stabbing my palm with my finger), but I'm not exactly sure when am I suppose to do them... Should I just do reality checks every half hour? Or every time I go through a door, or..?
c. About dream signs: Could I have a brief explanation? I can't seem to understand if dream signs are the illogical things I'm supposed to find in the dream to realize I'm dreaming, or things IRL that show up often in dreams, so when I interact with them IRL I should do a RC so the habit will transfer to my dream.
d. Since I can't really recall anything, is there any harm in starting the whole DILD process right now, so I won't be sitting around wasting time until I can remember my dreams? Also, I haven't really learned about MILD and WILD a lot, but should I begin practicing them as well? Or should I do just one technique at a time? Also, is it encouraged to eventually learn all the techniques to induce LDs?
Thanks again, I hope I'll enjoy my stay,
Guy.
