      Question Back after long absence

Hey I've been recently thinking about lucid dreaming for a few reasons, so I rediscovered this website and decided to start all this again. Haven't practices in a long time (3-4 years) just looking for ideas.: how to speed it up(if I should and how), or if I should just do it all over again with the daily RCs and such.. I still find myself automatically doing RCs when I wake the nose plug and the finger through palm. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks!

PS also plan on starting a brand new dream journal as I've lost my old book.

      Welcome back!
Since you have already had lucid dreams, try remembering them, remembering the feelings you got from them, it should help, you could also write them down into your new DJ. I see you already have goal list, read it every once in a while through the day and especially before going to sleep, it should keep the motivation up and get you into lucid dreaming mood. If you have time for naps and able to fall asleep in them, you could try doing them, it's golden time for lucid dreams!
Also remember that reality checks should be done not just as an action, but as awareness practice. Before doing an reality check, look around and completely believe that you could be dreaming, emotions also help, like before doing reality check think 'Wow, am i dreaming?' and then do reality check, while fully expecting it to show you that you are dreaming.
You could also join one of the DVA classes: DV Academy , and get some help there and/or join the dreaming competition http://www.dreamviews.com/general-lu...read-12-a.html , which sets nice mood for lucid dreaming.

      Welcome back bigj_1992!

To add to checker666's list of helpful tips and links, I'd like to add this thread that has helped me a ton. It's an approach to lucid dreaming that imo forms the really core of the concept.
Hope to see you in the competition btw! Also, if you're not sure about what technique to use, take a read at this amazing guide made my Mancon. See you around and once again, welcome back

Welcome back, I was in a similar boat not so long ago. Not sure if I can add much more than the others have added other than stick with it, it's not quite like riding a bike but persistence pays off!
