Thanks for the replies, guys! I started that dream journal last night and posted it on here as well. I was really groggy when I woke up from the dream, and I decided to try the WILD technique that I read about on here when I went back to sleep. I relaxed myself, and kept repeating in my head that I will remain lucid, and every time my mind would start to wander I brought it back. Eventually, my body started feeling tingly like it was vibrating (never had that happen before, even during SP). It got me excited, and the feeling went away. I rolled over, got comfortable and tried again and felt it again. I tried to remain calm and let it happen. I started to hear noises like I do during SP, and I tried to picture myself in a dream (on a beach). My mind was racing and I was worried that I wasn't doing it right, and then I heard a loud freaky voice. It startled me awake... After that I just went back to sleep like normal.

I didn't have a lucid dream, but I think its not such a bad start for the first time trying! I had never felt that vibration feeling before, so I must have done something right. I just need to learn to remain calm through the noises.

I think my biggest challenge is going to be learning to recognize dream signs and do reality checks. The most stupid, illogical things always make perfect sense to me during a dream, so I don't know how I'm ever going to think to do a reality check mid-dream. Perhaps the dream journal will help...
