I've been attempting to induce lucidity for a while now, with little research. The only the i pretty much knew was that it was possible.

So, I decided to sleep at around 6 pm. I had my lucid dream at around 9:30.
From what I've read so far in this forum is that, the way I always tried to induce lucid dream was something called WILD(Wake Induced Lucid Dream?). Which doesn't make sense this time because I wasn't awake when I had my lucid dream, but I went through sleep paralysis and finally entered dream state with a little bit of control (for maybe about 2 minutes until I woke up).
But anyway, that's how I got into a lucid state.

I didn't actually attempt to have a lucid dream this time, but I often get sleep paralysis without meaning to. Very very scary btw T_T. I hate sleep paralysis, I always see a face of a demon, either just a silhouette in front of my face or a figure close to me, when I enter sleep paralysis (and this time I even let out a demonic laugh for some reason, it was out of my control at that time). And it usually feels like my whole body is being crushed or pinned down by something, or my limbs are bound by something invisible. So anyway, whenever I get sleep paralysis, often without meaning to, I take the opportunity to try to enter a lucid state and this time I succeded, even if it was very brief.

In my dream, I was still lying down where I slept, as where all my lucid dream attempts start, since that's also where i experience my sleep paralysis. Although the setting of the dream was the place where I was sleeping, it looked very dark and chaotic, that's how it always looks like whenever I try to enter a lucid state. I had little control of my body but i was trying hard, it still feels like i was in sleep paralysis, but I could move my arms. I grabbed a bottle of something out of nowhere, i tried to perform a reality check by reading the words, and they looked messed up, they just looked like random symbols some looked like letters but...idk. I did it just to make sure I was dreaming (now that I look back i don't really know why I had to perform a reality check). Everything around me looked very scary so I closed my eyes and opening again, did it a couple of times, trying to force myself awake. Then I woke up and decided to register on a forum about lucid dreaming.

Idk if what I said above made any sense, since I'm just writing down everything that came to mind as quickly as possible. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this? Trying to induce lucidity has always been scary for me, especially sleep paralysis. I've never really tried inducing it any other way, because I didn't really know how to. Does everyone here find inducing lucid dreams scary too?

That was my first experience in actually having a lucid dream, for like 2 minutes. Thanks for reading hahaa, if you have any thougts about this, please comment.
