      Hey, I'm new

Hi, I'm just stopping by to introduce myself. My name's Liza and I'm 17 years old...wow, there's an original opening line for you.

Anyway, I've been interested in psionics for years but take it more as an on and off hobby, not something that I'm seriously into. Dreams have always fascinated me, but I never seem to have the patience to go through with the whole process of learning how to lucid dream. I always want to jump right into it even thogh I know that's impossible.

Hm I don't have nightmares...haven't had one since I was about 7 years old. Most of my dreams are about adventure. Whenever I dream about being stuck underwater, I always think I'm going to drown, and when I finally can't hold my breath any longer and suck the water in, I find out that I can breathe underwater.

Hmm I've lived in Ukraine all my life, moved to Alabama 5 years ago, moving to Australia this september.

So there you go. The oh-so-exciting story of my life...sort of

hey welcome to dreamviews. nice to meet you.

I am welcoming you because no-one else has so far. the bastards......
nah j/k everyone is great here.....

I remember a few dreams where I have been drowning and went underwater and then noticed I could breathe.

I am the same in the way that I start projects that take a long time and have trouble staying dedicated to them. but now that I realize success with it is esential to staying with what you are doing, and I am making sure I take the effort to do things as best i can. As I do not like seeing my life screw itself up because I have been lazy. or hoped unresonable shortcuts and instant results would happen.

in my opinion Dreamviews is a great community and there are some really cool people here. And we have a fairly decent admin and staff.

Any questions you can ask me, or pm me. I would be glad to help out.

      Good luck with it,

Hehe thanks for the kind welcome.

Hm, actually, there -was- (and still is), one thing that I intend on finishing. I'm totally determined to get my name out in the music industry as a graphic and web designer. I've been working nonstop these past few months and it's really paying off.

I do graphics and web sites for bands and record companies for free and in return they tell more bands and record companies about my services so in 2 years when I move back to Alabama to go to college, I can actually start charging (as so many people have already told me to do), and have some sort of an income. Ah and since all that's going great, I've been in a fairly good mood except for a few "minor" problems that I won't get into right now.

So yesh, back to dreams. I'll definetely be starting a dream journal tomorrow morning.

      That is great.
You can do my band and website

good idea to start a journal. I have realized its more useful than i first thought.
I have not made an entry in my online one for ages, it is so messy and unorganized.
Also have not had a lucid dream for ages. Which means I will probally have one soon.

Hehe if you need one, I'd be happy to design it

Hm I totally forgot about mine until like half an hour after I woke up (Heh shows my true mentally blonde side), and by that time I didn't remember most of the dream

I don't think I've ever had a lucid dream...well no, now that I think of it, I might have. A while back whenever I had dreams that scared me (they weren't nightmares, they just put me in situations that I hated being in), I'd look around and say, "Screw this, I'll wake up anyway."
And I ended up just jumping off the nearby cliff or basically committing suicide and waking up. I don't know if that counts as a lucid dream or not but yeah

I noticed that if I sleep in really really late, I end up waking up slower. A lot of times when that happens, I just want to go back to the dream I was having because I remember it clearly. And actually, if I close my eyes and retrace the dream and start thinking up things that could happen next, I slip back into the dream and actually get to go on with it.

The thing is when that happens, the continuation of the dream feels really unstable and I know that I'm about to wake up so I have to fight to stay in the dream. A lot of times it just turns into a mental movie by the end, where I'm not exactly dreaming but just imagining what would happen if I was.

Did you know you were dreaming during this time? If so, then yes, you were having a LD, but if not...nope!

I didn't know that I was dreaming until the moment that I decided to actually jump. It's as if as soon as I got tired of the dream, or got too afraid of what would happen in it, I realized that it wasn't real; that it was all kind of just like a game and that I could kill myself and nothing would really happen. That's when I knew that I'd just wake up after whatever I do.

Oo you are? That's awesome. I'm still trying to decide on a college to go to in 2 years...hopefully somewhere around Alabama...that specializes in web and graphic design. But I've got two whole years of Australia before that happens

Welcome, to one newbie from another.

Do you know where in Australia you'll be moving to? It's great over here, much more laid back than the states, although our politicians are just as bad!!

You might want to look into doing some Graphic Design study while you're here. Loads of places to study....although you usually get more when you pay for a private course than going to a university and doing a degree (a friend at work has been studying this recently)....anywho, I'm not an expert in that area...I'm no designer

We're moving to Perth . Oh, I'm sure my stay'll be fun while I'm there, but I could never leave Alabama for good. I'm 100% positive that I'll be back as soon as I get the chance .

I plan on continuing to do free web and graphic design for bands in Australia, as well as keeping up with the U.S. bands that I'm dealing with now, but honestly, good ol' Alabamian bands will always be my top priority . There's no place like home heh.

Hehe welcome to you, too ^_^

Is that what the toilets look like in the men's bathroom? Another reason to add to my "Why I'm glad I'm not a guy" list. Have you people ever heard of janitors? That can't be healthy.

it's what the *public* mens toilets look like...according to my fiance

who, incidentally, looks a lot like the guy with the green jacket standing in the mens room. Is that a screenshot? If so, where from? It's uncanny.

      Hello and welcome to DreamViews!

      Silent Hill 2 rocks.

Is it me or has this post dragged on way too long for a welcome to the forums post?
