OK so I actually tried lucid dreaming for the first time about a year ago. But I kept on getting on and off of it because the first couple of days of trying a would get a lucid dream, and then I wouldn't be able to get another one. But now I am determined to become a lucid dreamer. Can someone please tell if something weird is going on or if it's normal then give me some tips on how to fix this. I do reality checks all the time and I do lucid affirmations before bed, and sometimes I meditate. HELP! |

Saying there is no alien life in the universe is like dipping a cup in the ocean and saying there are no whales.
Thanks! Yeah, I sort of have a dream journal it's more of a daily blog on tumblr, because I generally have good dream recall. I think I need to try and use different methods, rather than doing the same one every night. |

That's a good start then |

Yea..what Benni said. When I first found out about lucid dreaming I had one the very same night. Then nothing for like a month. No matter how much I did reality checks or mantras before I went to bed. No matter how well organized and up to date I kept my DJ. Nothing. Then I took a break and that's when I started spontaneously lucid dreaming. I stopped trying so hard and they came naturally. Besides DILD, the only other technique that worked best for me was FILD. I prefer DILD however, because they were always the longest, most vivid dreams and I didn't have to do much to control them. Anyways, there are tons of techniques out there for you to try so don't give up if one of them doesn't work. Keep doing your RCs and recording your dreams. Just don't get yourself too worked up over it because this is suppose to be a fun thing not a chore. Eventually, with time, you will become a Lucid Dreaming Master. |
