      Hellloooo there!

Hi, I've been lucid dreaming since I was like 8 years old, it was the simplest thing and I didn't know what I had experienced, since, years later I found out. My lucid dreams were not very often, every two months or so. However, I stopped lucid dreaming like a year ago, when I started a new relationship and a job,I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. BUT, yesterday I lucid dreamed, I was really excited, so the reason why I signed up is to explore new things and know other levels in my dreams. And I wanted to see if I could see someone who died before I was born, is it possible?? I tried, but I couldn't, it actually got creepy and I woke up. So, is it possible ? Any experiences or information? Thanks...

      Hi Cindyst, welcome to Dreamviews!

You are lucky to had lucid dreams so easily. Stress of a new job and relationship could have played a role in dropping your lucid dream count. Here are some excercises you can do to have lucid dreams more often Induction Methods and Techniques You will see that there are different induction techniques.

If you believe, as some do, that lucid dreams are more than just something happening in your mind, then, theoretically, yes, you can meet someone who had died. Please check out the Beyond Dreaming forum for that. You may wanna ask you question there as well. Beyond Dreaming happy dreams

      Welcome!

Your story actually gives rise to an interesting experiment. What are the effects of stress levels on lucid dreams? There are simple things we can do to increase or decrease our cortisol levels, so this should be testable. Judging from the importance of relaxation in techniques such as WILD, I would hypothesize that cortisol levels have a negative correlation to lucid dreams.

Seeing people who have passed isn't terribly difficult. The most difficult part is remembering what you want to do when you're dreaming. My suggestion would be to use teleportation / time travel techniques to move you to the past rather than bring them to your present. They don't exist now, but you can exist THEN... you just have to get there.

Thanks for your replies. Yeah, I hope they don't stop again, now I try to rest more and not to get stressed. Teleportation / time travel techniques sound very interesting I hope I can get there someday, I bet it wont be easy but nothing is impossible in lucid dreaming , thanks guys!
