      Welcome to DV! Good luck on the WILD. Expectations are a large part of it: if you expect to succeed, you are more likely to. Do not forget to check out DILD though: statistically speaking, more new comers to lucid dreaming are successful with DILD than with WILD - that of course does not mean that you will not be one of those who succeed with WILD first, some people do. Best!

      I just thought of something else? Why are they mice, and not another animal? One connotation of mice is lab mice. So maybe they are experimental new projects that died before they had a chance to succeed?

      Welcome to the forum!

      Check out the link beneath;
      WILD

      Know that WILD is most efficient when combined with WBTB, and that is where beginners like us should start off. There is also a section for dream control.

      Good luck and remember to never give up!

      Hey there, welcome!

      Yeah, I agree it is really fascinating. Its just, something about dreaming for me, I never knew it could be this amazing. Looking back I don't know what I would do if I hadn't found DV.

      I personally find that any tutorials from the WIKI are useless. I'm sorry DV team, but I prefer trial by fire. Its good to skim over it and get an idea of what your doing, then just try and do it.

      The largest problem for me is timing, and falling asleep. You can prevent both of those, by combining it with a WBTB like obviously said (obviously...).

      Anyways, above all good luck and

      Sweet dreams.

      Edit: Oh! Dream control!

      For me, I actually misread the DILD tutorial (maybe skimming over it isn't a good idea?) and I thought that looking at your hands would stabilize the dream. But its actually a reality check.

      Nowdays, I just try to look straight down at my hands, and try to calm myself down. After your feeling more relaxed, then you can go out into the dream and fly and levitate and go to Saturn to slide on its rings.

      I've never done WILD, nor do I know what exactly to do with one, so I can't really say anything on that subject.

      However, when it comes to dream control, the key is expectancy. If even the slightest bit of you doubts that you can turn into a lizard going to a business meeting, then you're not going to be able to do it. But if you believe that you can ice skate on Pluto, then you'll find that you can. The longer you keep lucid'ing it up, the easier you should find it to do such things.
