      Dream Wanderer

Hey guys, my name's Dallas. I'm 30 and I've been lucid dreaming for about 6 years now. I've done a lot of stuff in my life, spent four years in USAF Spec Ops, did electronic engineering for Boeing after I got out. I've run a mushroom farm cultivating culinary mushrooms, been a rare book seller, worked construction, dispatched for the sheriff's office, and well, there's really too many things to list.

I became interested in lucid dreaming shortly after I got out of the military, and read a few guides online, and decided hey this is cool, I'm gonna try it out. At first, I didn't get anything. I always just ended up falling completely asleep and woke up the next morning haha. Then over time I learned a few tips and tricks here and there on the internet, and managed to start having lucid dreams occasionally. Today I have them fairly frequently, especially since I discovered isochronic tones, which have helped me tremendously to achieve lucid dreaming. I can lucid dream without them, but they make the whole process so much easier, I've developed a slight obsession with them, to the point of creating a website about them.

I've lurked here before, but never signed up, so now I hope to get to know a few of you, and learn about your experiences, and share mine. See ya on the forums!

Welcome welcome welcome. Always nice to have another LDer here to tell us their experiences. I look forward to your DJ.

Also! I would recommend always being content, but always striving for more LDs.

      Hi Dallas, welcome!

Wow your bio sounds interesting. The only noteworthy achievement I've ever had was winning an eggroll contest in 6th grade, and that was only because my opponent ate beforehand so she got pukey and quit.

But anyway! Tell us about some of the most interesting things you've done or some lucid goals you have right now.

Also, have you ever told your family/colleagues/friends?

Since you mentioned that you have them fairly frequently, you might be interested in checking out the tasks/challenges that we have come up with. Or you could also look at some older months' tasks and try to do them if they catch your eye. Task of the Month

If you need any help, let us know!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Thanks for the welcome!

Well, I have quite a few goals for lucid dreams, but my main goal is related to my other main interest in life, and that's meditation.

I want to use lucid dreams to explore my inner world. I want to be able to remember what is in my subconscious and how it relates to my consciousness. So I don't really have any goals like "have sex in a lucid dream" or "conquer the world." but my goals are more of self-exploration and personal discovery. I'm using lucid dreaming as a way to deepen my connection with the universe itself, and not for some temporary benefit of having a pleasant experience. Hope that makes sense

And no, I've not really told my family, although I have mentioned a few of my experiences on my Google+ circles.

Ah I see, I completely understand then. It's pretty much a long-term goal for you. Well it really is up to you whatever you wanna use lucid dreaming for. It is a lifestyle that we get used to, and if you wish to use it enhance your meditation then that's great and I wish you the best of luck! Oh btw, ever heard of Dream Yoga? I've heard it helps a lot with using dreaming and meditation together. http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-yoga...ead-first.html

There are quite a lot of notable members here who are into meditation, Sivason is one of them. MasterMind is, too, if you ever want personal tips you can PM them

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I would hope you stay on DV for a while.
I have started developing substrates for different strains of mushroom. and a fellow mycologist would be fun to compare notes with.
Chicken of the woods, is my latest addition.
I would also be interested in your favourite tone for meditation, or dreaming.
