Greetings all; and why I'm here

      Hi. I'm 38, female, and live in Australia. I'm a research ecologist/ethnobotanist.

I have always had amazing dream recall, from as far back as I can remember, and remember >10 dreams almost every night, too many to write them all down, as it takes too long, so I just give detail for the cool/important ones, and jot notes for the rest. (that was up until recently, maybe a couple of years ago, when my recall crashed for the first time in my life, it just kind of drifted away slowly, so I didn't realise, but I'm working on recovering it now, and am back to 3 dreams per night or so). I love reading my dream journals from years ago, as I will remember a fair amount of the dreams I read. I remember a few dreams from childhood too.

I used to get lucid dreams, probably a couple a month, but some months I wouldn't get any. They were of varying awareness, but I had begun to be able to have complete control every time. My aim in participating on this forum is to assist my journey back to lucidity, and increase my ability to lucid, so I can either go lucid at will, or all my dreams are lucid. I've enjoyed reading many of your posts so far, and it helps to keep my mind on task.

      See you around!

      Hello and welcome to DV!

I've got to admit, I'm a little jealous of your former dream recall! Hopefully I'll see you around, and maybe you could share some of your dreams with us?

Hi BarefootDreamer I'm sure you'll recover your awesome recall eventually. As far as your journey to improve your lucid dreaming, if you like you can feel free to join the Intro Class. When I first joined it, I was also getting just a few a month. But the Intro Class helped me get to where I am now, getting about 3-6 lucid dreams a week. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here!
