      Greetings fellow Dreamers.

So, figured i'd introduce myself as i intend to spent quite abit of time on this forum, Been here quite abit already but just reading, now perhaps i can give something back to the community.

My name is Christian and i live in sweden, 21 years old.

I first discovered lucid dreaming about a year ago, Been practicing on and off since then, i never ever used to remember dreams as i've grown up. but the same week i discovered the phenomena about lucid dreaming and started
practicing i started waking up 3 times a night remembering my dreams, which was a huge improvement and made me more interested in lucid dreaming. It wasn't until about 4-5 weeks ago i had my first lucid dream though,
Reached it by using the FILD technique, needless to say it was a huge experience and i was quite amazed by it, Since then i've had 2 lucid dreams. And definately more to come

I've experienced a problem with it though during these 3 lucid dreams i've had. Maybe it's because i'm not very experienced yet but i'm a very light sleeper and as soon as i go lucid i tend to wake up in about 30 seconds or so
even after using techniques to prolong the dream.

I experienced something pretty long time ago that i never could explain until recently when i read about WILD, basically i woke up at night (wasn't really sure though at that point as i was somewhere between sleep and awake)
Anyhow, I heard this creepy voice talking, only thing i could really take from it though was that it said "I'm gonna take you with me, I'm gonna drag you down" more or less. as i realized i was awake during it i RUSHED out of bed and
basically jumped to the computer because i thought it was some spotify song or something that had that in it, turns out there wasn't and spotify wasn't running, so i went for a smoke outside comtemplating on what the fuck just happened. but yeh, turns out i was probably still dreaming funny.

      Anyhow. Thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to DV! It's great that you have improved your recall and suceeded in having a couple of lds already. At the beginning lds are most likely going to be a bit short, but with more practice you will learn how to stay in the dreamworld and have awesome adventures.

About the voice thing, it's not unsual to hear things when going to sleep or waking from sleep. These are called hypnagogic hallucinations (HH) or hypnopompic (when you wake up). A possible explanation is that the body and the mind fall asleep/wake up at different speeds in such occasions, so you might experience some dream related special effects. Nothing to worry about though.

      See you around!

      Welcome to Dreamviews, 7Metha!

Yes, hearing voices while falling asleep or waking up is not so unusual. They happen in the "inbetween" state. It may feel real, because you are aware, thus thinking you are awake, when in fact they are part of dreaming or hallucinations associated with sleeping/dreaming.

Here are a few links to get you started with our tutorials and usefull things.
