lucid dreamer

hello! I've been lucid dreaming for a little over ten years now, but never realized there was such a gathering of lucid dreamers. since middle school I've been able to at least realize when I was dreaming. it progressed from there to being able to wake myself up if I had a bad dream, to just doing pretty much whatever I want. but I find that if I think too much about what I should dream about, I'll just wake up. mostly I let my dreams go on without much influence just to see what happens, and I only take real action when it turns bad. if I get bored I really like telling people in my dreams that it is a dream, but they don't seem too concerned about it. anyway, I'm here to help strengthen my control. sometimes I'll try to make things happen and just can't do it. for example, if I try to fly sometimes I just get pulled back down to the ground, or I fly too high and can't go back down which makes me wake up. or I can't turn invisible or I can't stop a bad person by willing it. mostly this all works out fine. it's the flying that I don't seem to have full control over yet. I either can't stay off the ground, or can't fly fast enough. maybe when I have this down, I'll work on controlling where my dream starts. I've done that before, but it's far too much work for me to focus on right now. well, that's all for now. I'll be lurking! Eliza
