Hi new member here! WILD problems

Hey, so I started lucid dreaming about a week ago.
But regardless of the fact that lucid dreaming takes time and effort,
I feel like I am approaching WILD in the wrong direction.
I wake up around 5 hours after sleeping, and I walk around for a bit.
I lay down and start relaxing, and my whole body is numb. I hold onto an anchor (controlling and monitoring my breathing) but after this nothing really happens. Sometimes a sudden burst of tinnitus and random noises will occur, but then I jerk back and I return to my numb state. What am I doing wrong? Should I try another method?

Hey and welcome to DreamViews, glen1332! (^o^)

I think you should be doing other methods along with WILD, that way even if one night you don't succeed at WILDing you still have the possibility of having a DILD. Perhaps you're staying up for too long and waking yourself up too much. WILDing can take a bit of practice because you have to find out what works for you, each attempt is progress though, like trial and error.

Read all the stickied threads here, they're a great source of info on WILDing: WILD
