Hello, Im Tom aka Kabur, which is also my real life nick name. Just thought to introduce here because why not, I am most likely going to contribute here and there. I found this place after I realized there is nothing new to read on r/luciddreaming and I like to read dreaming related articles or posts before falling asleep.
I have had probably 6 lucid dreams in which I had some control and a few with only awareness. Now that my life is going the direction I want, I would like to get back to LDing and hopefully master it, with your help of course. Step one is reinviting my dream journal I suppose.
I had my first LD the very night I found out about LDing and have been fascinated by the concept ever since. I have 3 main motivators for LDing:
try to practice piano in my dreams, see if that skill actually improves, as it theoreticaly should.
Compose music(well, just imagine) and then try to write it down when I wake up. I am a beginner composer and hopefully eventually a music producer so I am particularly excited to try this out.
And finally, I want to overcome my fear of deep water. I can swim, but I get near panic attacks when put into deep water. I have done this once in one of my very few lucid dreams and I almost cried from happiness. It felt amazing.
That's about it for now, good night! ^^
