      Greetings All

      Hi, I am a dreamer from Jamaica, in NY, USA at the moment.
      I work as a fine artist in multiple mediums, including poetry.
      It is a pleasure to find this site, and hope that I can learn more
      about dreaming and dreams, as I share with you all.
      I dream before I even fall asleep, and have been having dreams
      which I can return to 3-4 time during one night. Also wake during
      a dream, watching the scene only to find that the characters are drawn
      to my presence just by my coming awake, I seem to interrupt the scene.
      Sometimes I try to manage the dream sequence only to find that I slip back into
      what we see as the REAL dimension. Some dreams are bourne out completely
      in an awake state, where I speak to someone's spirit or high self.

      Welcome to the forums!

      Your dreams before falling asleep sound like strong hypnogogic imagery. That can be handy for several techniques, especially the WILD technique. Also, if you wake up a lot during the night, you might also want to try the DEILD technique. Those are my suggestions, anyway.

      • Attaining Lucidity -------------------------> Many techniques here as well as users sharing their own experience.
      • Tasks of the Month & Year ---------------> This will give you a great motivation to LD as these tasks are fun and gives you a reward for accomplishing them (and that will be an extra goal to help yourself to LD!)
      • Lucid Dares ------------------------------->This thread has a ton of lucid tasks for you to do. I have been personally adding some basic tasks to get started plus other some advanced tasks as well. Many other users are adding dares for everyone as well as making personal dares, it is lots of fun.
