I'm not an expert but recently I've been experimenting with doing 15-20 minute awareness meditations in the morning and right before bed. So far, without fail, whenever I meditate before bed I end up remembering to become present and aware while I'm dreaming. This has only led to semi-lucidity which tells me that I'm not quite becoming aware enough during my meditations. I do this guided meditation before bed and I love it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRnl-g-ZQG0. I notice that if I try to do an unguided meditation before bed I end up just falling asleep (and not attaining lucidity). Furthermore, I recommend trying to become aware generally throughout the day because dreams reflect waking consciousness. But all in all, meditating right before bed puts your mind in the zone directly before you dream, which is very powerful in my opinion. |

Many people find that meditation improves their awareness during dreams - we actually have a whole subforum dedicated to discussing it! |
