      Wink Hello just joined!

      Hello everyone,

I am a teenager, male and I live in Greece.

At last after so much searching I finally found a good forum with active members about lucid dreaming!

I have experienced lucid dreaming only once when I was very young, but I had no idea what was happening. Now everyday I practice DILD lucid dreaming but I had no success and I must say I am a little bit confused so if you have any tips please share them with me . I don't have normal dreams regularly 2 to 3 times per month.
Anyways that's my background with dreams, in DV I am looking to make friends and share dreams and experiences together. I will also start writing my dream journal on DV.

Please if anyone wants to share thoughts etc. and/or wants an online friend sent me a private message to talk with me.

      Welcome, greekwarrior! (And hey JPDreeamnz!)

It's great that you're going to start posting in your dream journal!
I'm not sure what your current routine is, but here are some ways to improve your recall:
When you first wake up, keep your eyes closed and try not to move for a minute or two while you recall your dreams. Don't think about the day ahead yet, because that will fill your mind with all sorts of other distracting thoughts.
If you can't remember any dreams after a few moments, ask yourself the question, "What was I just dreaming about?" Sometimes this can help to bring up some memories. You can also reflect on the emotion you felt upon waking, to see if that helps you to remember any dreams.
If there are still no memories coming to you, you can try to spark your memory with common topics you dream about - maybe a place, person, or theme that you recall dreaming about before. Did you dream of them again last night?
Getting a good night's sleep is the best way to remember more dreams, since the length of your REM periods increase throughout the night.

I would recommend starting a workbook in our DILD class. You can tell the teachers what your current practices are, and they'll offer you some extra tips and encouragement.
It can take time to see results with any induction technique, so don't give up! Practice and persistence will pay off, I promise!

Feel free to ask any questions, and I'll see you on the forum!

Oh, and awesome picture by the way! Did you make it?

If you almost never remember dreams, then maybe you should start by trying to detect false awakenings.

Do reality check like 5 times when you first wake up in the morning, like every time you just wake up, when you get out of bed, when you go to get ready, when your about to start your day etc.

Eventually you will find yourself checking and failing and become lucid

Alternatively you need to work on dream recall, when you first wake up after the reality check lie back in original position and try for at least 5 minutes to recall something. Go thru lists of things you might have dreamed about. Eventually you will begin to recall dreams and learn what you usually dream about so that your lists are more effective.

Other alternative wake back to bed and set intention to lucid dream and or remember your dream.

Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.
