      Did This ever happen to anyone?

      I recall a long while back, I'd say years, I tried to lucid dream. I believe I had accomplished my goal...but it was odd. Instead of knowing that I was in a dream myself, I was told by a certain character in my dream that took the form of my one friend I know. Shortly after, I had woken up abruptly. I'm curious if anyone had been told they were dreaming from a character within the dream itself.

      That's never happened to be...usually my dream characters are not very helpful at all. It's pretty neat that your friend told you that you were dreaming and made you lucid. Did you happen to mention this to your friend? I wouldn't look past the possibility that when someone you know really well tells you that you are dreaming, you just might be dream sharing...if you believe that sort of thing exists.

      Thtas awsome, all my dream charecters lie and try to trick me. they always tell me I am awake and make excuses for why things are nto normal =/

      That's never happened to me. Maybe I should try that idea to get lucid. But then again a satan like dreamcharacter would probally end up telling me its a dream alright and its going to be a nightmare. I havn't mastered DCs yet, I don't even know if some of them are Dcs to tell you the truth.

      intresting......

      somthing along those lines happened to me quite often while i was beginning to have lucid dreams, many of my DC's would start talking to me and i somtimes became lucid because of some of the things they said.......

      Thanks for the responses everyone. Yes, about my friend, unfortunatly, I never told him ! Though I meant to I never got around to tell him. Oh and yes I do believe in dream sharing as well, I would bet that or some other reason was the cause.

      Well this nothing happened to me that some one in my dream told me that I am dreaming.

      But once I was dreaming and some one told me that it is 9:27 Am at a certain place.

      I woked up after hearing this and looked at my watch. And believe me it was the exact time from my location.

      THough I don't know who has told me this (because I didn't see his face). But i will say one thing it was a cool experience.

      Maybe it could happen that a dream character communicates indirectly to us about our dreaming state: one character in one of my dreams, for instance, changed so abruptly his face that I interpreted it as a demonstration of the dreamy nature of that situation. Unfortunately, I got the message afterwards and I missed lucidity
