      Somewhat Confused

Hello, I go by the name xFallenKnight53, it is a historical reference to the fall of the Byzantine (Eastern Roman) Empire in 1453. I have dreams every night and they are always very vivid. When I was a child I would sleep walk, Sleep Talk, and have Night terrors all the time. Last 2 years I have started to heavily focus the powers of my mind on my dreaming and I now have very vivid dreams and possibly lucid dreams. In my dreams however I just let them play out like watching a movie and even participating in it. I have already written about last nights dream and even my sleep paralysis experience I had this morning. What confuses me is, I don't know at this point if I really am aware during my dreams, sometimes I can tell I am not but other times I do not know.

It might be the vividness of your dreams that's causing you confusion. You can be aware in your dreams, even if you're not lucid - you probably notice more. However, if you realise that you're dreaming, then it counts as a lucid.

If you need any help, just ask!

I agree with the Celestial Mango. Or rather the Extraterrestrial Mango?

If they're so vivid, then you're certainly aware! You should see my dreams. They're more blurry than watching traffic at high speeds!

      Also, welcome to the forums!

      Welcome to the forum!

Having vivid dreams is awesome. But we can have vivid and not vivid both lucids and non-lucids.

The only criteria for a lucid dream is to know while in a dream, that it is a dream.
