Hand Check and Closed Nose to see if I can breathe. But my Dream-Self is stupid and, cannot see that my finger is going straight through my hand or I can breathe with my nose closed.

Haha okay. Don't worry I do that too sometimes. When I'm distracted by something in a dream I will get it reversed. This does mean you are really close and just neeed to think a little harder when you do reality checks. Sometimes I think stop before I do RCs to make sure I stop what ever else im doing before the RC. That helps a lot!
