Looking to start Lucid Dreaming, I'm Luke

      Hi guys, I'm Luke!

I first learned about Lucid Dreaming about a year ago. I tried to do it, but wasn't able to and lost intrest. I am back now, and more detirmended than ever! I am willing to do any technique that gives people the most success. I have started doing the nose-hold reality check around six times a day, and I'm going to start a dream journal on my phone.

Should I just do reality checks and a dream journal (I'm not very good at recalling my dreams) as a technique? Or is there one that will get a determined newbie the most success!

I hope to start Lucid Dreaming soon, any recommendations? Hope to get this community well, and start my LD adventures!

      -Luke

      to DreamViews, Luke!

It is recommended that people start with DILD method. Not because WILD is hard. But simply because DILD will teach you basic practices that you will later use for all other methods. You are saying that you have already tried before, so I will not bore you with explaining the differences in methods. But if there is anything you would like clarified, please do ask.

I started with practicing for DILDs, but I had read up on WILDs and DEILDs as well. And I'm so grateful for that, because my first DEILD was my 4th lucid dream. Have I not read about that, I most likely would not have known what is going on and missed my chance for an awesome lucid experience.

Since all different types of lucid dreams happen at different times of our sleep and we practice for them at different times, there is no clash if we practice or expect to have all of them from the beginning.

What I recommend is you start with practicing for DILD - Dream Initiated lucid dream. This should be your main focus. But also read up on WILD and DEILD, so when time is right and you have the opportunity, or you find yourself in the middle of transition, you will know what to do.

Induction Methods and Techniques - read DILD, DEILD, WILD and RCs
      WILD - all "sessions"
