      My start to lucid dreaming.

Hello, my name is Chris. I found this forum easily with google even though I was unsure of what I was looking for. My friend had told me about astral projection about a year ago and ever since I have been concentrating on what I thought was just that. After educating myself on as much as I could about astral projection as well as trying to achieve one, I noticed that what I was doing was more of a dream like experience. I wanted to believe it was on obe, but just didn't feel like I was projecting in the right way. After coming across this site and reading the guides and techniques along with other users LD's, I notices I have been LD the whole time. It set of a huge spark of excitement that I now knew that what I had been doing this whole time was lucid dreaming. Although I wasn't astral projecting, it was a relief that all my hard work, focus, and dedication hadn't gone to waste. In fact, LD seems way more interesting and magical in ways that i'm now more focused on my dreams instead of leaving my body. Ill leave that experience for when I die.

      Hey,
Sounds like you have a good mindset, personally I just go with the experience, I'm not really bothered about classing my experiences into LD, OBe, AP, but if you ever want a good source of information and support the Beyond Dreaming section is a good place to start for things other than LDs.
      Hope to see you around

Astral Projection is like... leaving your body to explore a magical realm.
Lucid Dreaming is like... Going deeper into yourself to discover the magical realm within you.

In my opinion, they are both pretty much the same thing - it's all the way you look at it. In my case it's more interesting to go deeper within my own mind than to leave my body and go somewhere else.

I think you already know all the basics, so, enjoy your time here at DreamViews! I hope to see you around the forums, man.
