I read your Dream entry, and you saw a clue thing that awakens your conscious mind (most of the time) in a dream: seeing arm with shit ton of fingers, don't know how your mind didn't react to that. That is my main reality check, as soon as I see such thing, I am instantly aware that having palm with so many fingers ain't really normal, and therefore my lucid dream begins.

I was thinking the same thing tbh, but all I remember is being scared and confused, maybe that snapped me out of it. Maybe I'm just too noob...

Then you gotta pay more attention to your body parts in waking life, few times a day take a look at your arms (palms), and always count your fingers and make sure it's 5. If it is, tell yourself "This is a real life", or something similar, to convince your mind to start taking note of similar things. SO when you're in dream enxt time, and take a look at fingers (and see shitton of 'em again), your mind might realize: wait, I am having more fingers than I usually do, or less, this isn't okay, it must be a dream!

That's what I did, and it became my reality check, and a very successful one.

You were most likely having an excess amount of fingers, you just didn't look at your hands in the dream.

Just be persistent, and it will come

Thats what I've been doing (counting fingers, trying to push thumb through palm, holding nose and trying the breathe and also taking notice of what I'm doing and what I was doing before that). But I just started doing it seriously again and I'm assuming it takes longer. I've tried a few times before in the past but kept forgetting. I have been doing it a lot more often now though, and that dream seems to be the closest I've got.

Maybe I did get lucid for a few seconds and got freaked out and lost it, but it was too short lived to remember
