      Red face Introduction

      Hello!

I am 16 and I'm interested in lucid dreaming. I have gotten into lucid dreaming about a year ago and used to have a lot of lucid dreams but then I got lazy and I don't get as much lucid dreams now. I came here from the Lucid dreaming discord because I saw some helpful guides on this site. Everything about dreaming, sleep etc. interests me and I'd like to learn even more about it.

My other interests are: watching anime (my favories are Fullmetal Alchemist, Steins;Gate, MHA...), playing some rhythm games like osu! and Phigros, drawing stuff.

What I'm having the most problem with right now is dream control and nightmares. Dream control just doesn't seem to work for me most of the time and nightmares are kind of stopping me from lucid dreaming freely, because every time I get a WILD (also sometimes DILD) I get really scared that it'll turn into a nightmare and then it actually does turn into one. It would be nice if I would be able to get rid of my fear of nightmares or at least limit it somehow because most nightmares I get also become lucid near the end of the nightmare (and I use the lucidity to wake myself up) so I could get a lot of lucid dreams with it.

      Ok I think that's all

      Hi Welcome to the forums.

So, about the nightmares. Nothing can hurt you (energetically speaking) in a lucid dream unless you allow it in. You have to be a vibrational match. Remind yourself that you have nothing to fear. Your emotional frequency is in YOUR control, no one else's.

      Some tips:

Anytime you have a nightmare, and become lucid, imagine yourself surrounded by golden light. This light will protect you. There's nothing that can harm you as long as you're in it.

Additionally, you can flow love to anyone in a dream. Use this method on scary dream figures. Just imagine the love leaving your heart chakra in your chest, and flowing outward toward the other. You should feel a warm, loving feeling all over your body as you do this.

Sometimes when you do this, scary figures in your nightmares will transform into friendly beings, usually with a message for you. Sometimes the message is hard to hear, it can be feedback that you don't want to acknowledge, because it's painful. That's often the case with nightmares and shadow aspects of our self. If you can face them, and receive the message, not only do you get valuable feedback, but often a boost in energy as a shadow aspect can even meld into your body.

Alternatively, you can always fly away if you're lucid.

Again, this is about vibrational frequency and expectations. When you vibrate fear in a dream, and your expectation is of something scary, then you are now a match to a nightmare. If you consciously (because you're lucid), raise your emotional vibration to something that's not fear, such as love, then you no longer match the frequency of fear, and nothing can harm you.
