      Hello and why I´m here.

      Hello Dreamviews members,

      The is my introduction and first post.

      I decided to join this forum for two reasons:

      1. I read online that this is a welcoming and supportive place for aspiring oneironauts.

      And, 2. I believe learning any skill in isolation to be sub-optimal, so I would like to learn alongside others.

      I´ve been keeping a dream journal for a couple of years and I recall 2-3 sub-lucid dreams per night. I read La Berge´s Exploring The World of Lucid Dreaming last November. And two weeks ago, I finished listening to Kristen La Marca´s Learn to Lucid Dream on Audible.

      One thing I´m struggling with is that most of my dream signs are contextual and from my past. For example: appearance of ex-partners, old friends, working at my old job, back in school. As these don´t occur in my daily life, I can´t look out for them to test my state.

      Welcome! This place is certainly welcoming to all, it's been a fun place for me to talk with others about such a niche subject over the past year. It can be a bit slow but if you stick around there are plenty of us to talk with

      Yo! Welcome onboard! I have the same problem with dream signs. I found somewhere that it can help to break common dream signs into emotions rather than discrete things (and then RC when those emotions come up in waking life).

      That's a great tip, thank you.

      Be on the lookout for feelings and '"that's odd" experiences rather than waiting for my best friend from elementary school to show up.
