      A week isnt that long....

when you wake up, dont move! Just lay there and try to remember your dream. Even if you dont think you remember anything...Trust me! Its there! Every move you make is working against you. Any thought of the day and what you need to do will work against you. jsut think of where you just "were" and what you were just "doing". Dont move for at least 5 minutes. Youd be surprised how much will come back to you. And write down everything yopu can remember. ven the smallest insignificant thing. how you were feeling. Colors you saw. Characters. The more you write the more youll surprise yourself with what you can rememeber.

In my first attempts to have a lucid dream I have started to make a dream journal. Four nights out of five I have remembered bits of my dreams and have written them down.

I'm not sure of its prupose though. There is nothing particularly revealing about them, nothing I can imagine helping me to be come lucid next time. For example I dreamed I saw a boy jump into the sea and he never returned. That was pretty much my entire recall. I don't see the use.

It helps the more you do it. You wont see results immediately, but do it often you'll find the dreams so easy to remember, plus you'll have an amazing collection of dreams to read over later.

When I first started a dream journal, I didn't record my first dream until a week after--and it was just one short dream. Then I didn't recall any more until a few days after that. Then each night, missing some, I could recall 1 to 2 dreams. Now I can recall up to 4 or 5 per night if I try(write down dream each time I wake up in the night). Its been about a month since I started my dream journal.

My slow start was a mixure of not caring enough to remember and being too tired to record in the middle of the night.

      Just keep working at it.
