      New kid on the block

Hello everybody. I'm a 25 year old guy from Belgium Europe. First of all I'd like to apoligise for my english, it's not my native language so I could be making some faults

I've been interested in dreams for allready a loooong time but my parents always told me "it's just a dream" so I never REALLY looked into it. Until recently. Now I'm eager to learn LD.

I allready had one LD experience but it was way too brief. I was standing in my bathroom watching in the mirror and suddenly I saw I didn't have a beard! I was so excited cause I knew I was having a LD. So I ran out of the bathroom and ran out the door, and woke up. Haven't had another experience since.

Next to lucid dreaming I'm also interested in (alternative) history, (astro) theology and etno-botanism & etno-mycology.

I also have a big interest in electronic music. I even have a forum with some friends but I'm not sure if I can say it here cause that would be spamming. My favourite music is IDM, Elektro, Acid, Hard/breakcore & Psytrance. Well to be honoust I like most electronic music...

THat's it I guess, feel free to ask a question if you have any.

      Sweet dreamz

      Hey braha_kahn!

How good is your dream recall? If it's not so good then you should start a dream journal, which would help to improve your recall, and help you to find some of your dream signs.

If you have no idea what i'm talking about, the tutorials is a good place to start!

Oh, and DV has it's fair share of electronica heads -http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27355 (The thread's a little old)

I've been keeping a dreamjournal for quite some time now... But I'll have to work a lill'bit on my discipline (I'm more an evening then a morning person.... ) *

I'm currently reading the tutorial section at the main site, thank u

      * Edit: Ow an online dreamjournal, very interesting! I think I'll make one allthough I only write down keywords.... I'll consider the option, one thing I can say is, this forum is nice, very nice! 8)

Rubbish. If this post is anything to go by, your English is better than most native-speakers who post on this forum! You've got nothing to worry about, your English is fine.

Next to lucid dreaming I'm also interested in (alternative) history, (astro) theology and etno-botanism & etno-mycology.[/b]
I have NO idea whatsoever what any of this is, but it sounds interesting as hell.

I hope you get something out of this forum, and stick around! You sound intelligent and interested, and I hope we can be of some help!

thx for the compliment about my english

I'll try to explain it a lill'bit... it kinda started with the etno-botanism... This is just a very beautifull word for natural psychedelics. I once had a very mystic experience with mushrooms and the day after I was kinda obsessed with the Mayan culture... One thing led to another and before I knew it I was digging in the history...

I've always been a history freak but I always accepted what I've learnt at school. Now I have a whole other theorie, for me, personally, Atlantis is REAL... The Mayans talk about it, the Vedic cultures talk about it, EVERY culture has a story about a sunken city/culture.. So this it the alternative history part...

I was still very much interested in the natural psychedelics but I wanted more... I didn't just want to use those subtances to trip, I was also interested in the shamans and the "why do they do all this stuff" this is the ETNO-botanism/ETNO-mycology... Botanism => Plants/flowers, Mycology > Mushrooms... Etno how do I explain this eurm, cultures, groups of people.

Last thing > Astro-Theology. I once stumbled at the site www.gnosticmedia.com and there you can find a docu wich explains that most religions are entheogenic (natural psychedelics) based... This is quite logic if you think about it... ALL tribes in the world, in Africa, Australia, Azia or whatever have shamans and use entheogens... This is their culture, their religion... So why shouldn't we (the "whitie" ) haven't done the same. So all religions are entheogenic based and all gods are symbolic... Symbolic for forces in nature, symbolic for the stars etc. So ASTRO-Theology talks about the symbolism of the gods whom represent the stars

Don't think I know all about it, I'm just very much interested in it and I think it's still a lot better then the crap they broadcast on tv 8)

I hope this answers your questions a bit. And thanks for the warm welcome y'all, I feel welcome allready

      Huh... wow.

Personally, I don't do drugs, but my perspective is, if you don't hurt anyone else, and you don't screw yourself up too much, go for it. You seem to take psychadelic substances fairly seriously and with a healthy amount of knowledge, though, so that's cool.

I don't totally agree with the idea that pre-organised religions are based on psychadelic substances, but I think it definitely holds true for quite a few of them...

I'll definitely agree with you, though, that ANYTHING has gotta be better than the crap they broadcast on TV.

Again, welcome, and stick around, and don't worry about your english at all. Honestly, if you hadn't said, nobody would have known...

Given the apalling level of english amoungst native speakers, it's no suprise that foreigners often prove to have a better grasp of the language than native speakers.

As far as I'm concerned, if you can clearly explain concepts like etno-botanism, etc, then your proficiency in English is NOT a problem... lol!

I agree, I'll never tell someone "duuude that is a very cool drug you have to try it" I always say "If you don't start with it you don't have to quit it".

Allthough I try to convience my friends (who allready used lots of drugs, I'll never do that with a "newbie" excusez-moi-pour-le-mot!) to use natural dope instead of all that chemical shit, but they wont listen...

Next to that I'll never take psychedelics and go to a party or sumfin. I always use them in a ritual sence and then turn of the lights and watch wath the psychedelics show me... I also hope that the LD-Factor will help me to remember what I've seen during my psychedelic-dreamstate cause I do not always recall everything.

Yes at first I was kinda sceptic too but if you dig deeper the theorie sounds more and more plausible! Check that video at gnosticmedia.com! It's mindblowing and all their resources are heavily referenced in their book so it's not just invented stuff...

But then again I probably believe in this theorie because I'm into all this stuff... You just have to remember one thing when you're reading stuff like that and that's > Question everything!
