      not-so-good-english-speaker

      hi everybody
i'm from italy and i'm able to read englis, but not so able to write. Maybe I should have looked for an italian board, but this is the only site I found that sounds free of all those new-age stuff, so here I am.
I'm very grateful to everyone that will forgive my mistakes

p.s. here it's 2.36 am... I should be sleeping... long life to incoerence!

You're English is great! Don't worry about it - we have many members whose first language isn't English. And you write English better than some native English-speakers...

Anway, welcome to the forum - good luck and have fun!

Amen to that! This is one of the reasons I chose to join this board over the alternatives. It's a good, neutral environment with members holding a huge variety of opinions.

Look, honestly, DON'T worry about your English. As long as it's clear what you're saying, it doesn't really matter if you make a few mistakes along the way. When you're learning a foreign language, it's better to be able to say lots of stuff with a few errors, than to be able to speak perfectly but only say a few things.

Hello I like that Dream Views is not a new age site too. Your english sounds great to me. Do not worry about people not understanding you. Half the time my words are terribly misspelled and everyone can understand me

      Hi...

I also dont know English. ( Is it "me too dont know english" or "me also dont know english")

Ok.. Any how I have survived about 6 months here. I started to learn real English after I joined here. I always have dictionary.com in another window. And when a new word comes, I will look for the meaning. Dont look at the first meaning. But at the bottom there will be a slangue meaning given to it. Thats it. And always be ready for sarcasms. Dont worry I also didnt know the meaning of even the word 'sarcasm'.

Now I possess the most unique engish among my friends. Thanks.

      Chiao, Monkey !

One of my goals this year is to teach myself italian. I got myself some CDs to help, but been a bit lazy to go through them yet. Maybe if I get a little better at it we can practice, I'll write in italian, you can answer in italian! I speak spanish so I could understand some italian, if spoken slowly.

Anyway, enough about spoken languages - onto the universal language of lucid dreaming! Tell us about your experiences, are you a lucid dreamer, or are you still looking to accomplish your first? Have you started a dream journal?

Attendo la vostra risposta con tutti anticipazione (???)

farò molto volentieri conversazione in italiano con chi vuole

      so.
thanks to you all, you'r so nice

      about dreams...
I learnt to play with dreams when I was a child, and I'm very grateful I haven't lost it growing up (i was almost sure it would happen and I would have been sad for this)
I was very surprised a few years ago to discover that that things I did had a name and that there were even people that didn't believe it possible at all
My mother's sister is a psychology professor and a lucid dreamer, and sometimes I talk with her about dreams, but I don't have a dream journal yet, paper or net or anything.
What else... I like to experiment, but I have a tendency to be skeptic about tecnics I read about until I try them. My first thought is often something like "I think mine is better" (not really adult thought, but I think it's mostly because I'm 20 and it's too early to be adult )

      so

thank you all for the welcome messages
      very nice place, really

Benvenuto per sognare le viste! Spero che godiate il vostro soggiorno qui. E non siamo importunati dal vostro tentativo di inglese, voi stiamo facendo benissimo!

I don't speak a lick of Italian, so I'll thank google/translate for that! It's probably a rough translation though.

Anyway, you might find that a lot of us started out the same way (me, in particular) finding out about lucidity through experience and trying to explain it to people who just didn't get it. You've definitely come to the right place. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

      Arrivederci per ora!

Oh well! Somebody is worried about english....I´m not alone!
I´m finding so many words in dictionary (although I´m sure of them!) when I´m writing in this forum....and then my age....ehm...ehm...yes I´m younger than 20...19...18...17...ehm yeah I´m 16
I´m the best in my class but still not so good to be totally sure...
hope it won´t be visible, maybe I will improve it this way......

Anyway, I´m very happy that I found this site! Thanks that exist!

I'm studying Russian and Spanish. I'm always afraid that if I start talking to someone they'll go off and I will have no idea what they said. But your English is fine, both of you.

I don't speak English well either, and that's just sad, cause it's the only language I know.

      I'm such a loser.
