sup - I must be pretty dumb :)

      wuts up!

I've started trying some of the lucid dream techniques over the past couple of weeks. Including writing down dreams.

So one night before I fell asleep I started saying to myself "I will wake up in my dream". I repeated this a few times then stopped cuz im lazy

So sure enough I have a dream which I forgot (had to go to school as soon as I woke up)

In this dream I wake up, and I take out a poster to write down my dream. I put the poster on the wall.

I wake up AGAIN into reality and realize this was not my real dream journal - I just write on scrap papers...

Isn't that stupid? I didn't become lucid yet I was thinking about the lucid techniques in the dream! Plus when I told myself I'd wake up 'in' my dream, I did, literally - but not the way I had intended.

I had an even weirder thing at the beginning: I dreamt I was having a lucid dream.

It's funny - it seems a lot of people have false awakenings in which they are writing in their dream journal - then they wake up for real and realize they didn't write anything at all!

I too have had those types of dreams. Actually, they are quite common amoung those who wish to LD. Don't worry. With work, you'll be just as good an LDer as anyone else. Have fun while you are with us.

      this sometimes sucks, sometimes helps
it happened to me to write down things on imaginary paper while dreaming to hel pe remember them at the end, and worked a little, but also happened to simply dream to write them and so to let the memories go...
false awakenings with DJ, friend or foe?

A lot of weird crap happens when you are first developing your ability to have lucid dreams.
Keep it up. The fact that these weird things are happening is a sign that you are on the right track.
