      Greets and such...

Heya everyone, new to the board here and thought I would say my hellos. I have been toying with dream lucidity on and off for a while now, mostly through the use of a tone generator / BWgenerator. I think ive had a few close call LD's and perhaps a one or two actual LD's that didnt last too long and I didnt have proper control of them (always waking up or something at the wrong time)

After going out and getting some nice new headphones for my pc ( 8 speaker 5.1 surround deals, i love em) I decide to load up my bwgen prog and the preset i normally use and procede to have an interesting experience.

Anyway some time in the middle of the night I seemed to "wake up" and had this urge to go outside. As I started to walk each step felt as if it were into a headwind and there was like a force pulling me backwards from the center of my back. I kept trying to go forward and in my , for lack of a better way to explain, "minds eye" I felt like I had gone out my front door, completely bypassing my living room and bedroom.
It actually felt as if I were outside, my feet on my wooden porch steps, the ground etc although everything in my range of sight seemed fringed by wavy light, similer to the effect in the lord of the rings movies when frodo put on the ring of power and saw things from the oppiosite spectrum.

The whole time this force at my back continued to get stronger and after another moment or two I began to seem to lose my concentration and I "felt" myself being dragged backwards along the path I came and woke up (for real) after "slamming" backwards into my bed.

Not exactly sure what it was I just experienced, if it was mearly a vivid dream influenced by desires to atempt lucidity or obe. Not exactly a frightening experience but it felt almost more like fustrating. Any thoughts as to what it might have been or how I might duplicate / further the experience?

After actually waking up and kinda freaking out in a good way because I for the most part remember what happened, maybe not so much the actual "visual" cues but the sensations I felt during the experience. Matter of fact, im still in bed typing this lol

Sorry for the long initial post and hellos again, but I think im going to wake up now and have some breakfast and read over the site......as well as see how long I can keep this wierd grin on my face.

      Welcome to the forum!

Hmm, I'm not sure what to make of that experience... were you sleepwalking? Or was it a dream? I've never experienced anything of the sort. Maybe post it in Beyond Dreaming and see if anyone has any ideas.

Anyway, glad you found the forum. Hope you enjoy your stay. Good luck and have fun!
