You obviously don't know me so here it goes.

      Introduction.

I have been extremely active at another forum, forums.darkdemon.org , and a thread popped up called "Lucid Dreams" and I, being interested at anything strange, fun, different or interesting followed the link to the main page. Although being interrupted reading the homepages pages I am definitley going to finish reading it to harness the power. Thanks for accepting me heh.

      My Feats.
      18-19/10/05
I remembered 2 of my dreams.
Although the first one is rather private and strange my second was me waking up, turning up tha radio and thinking about the lucid dreaming techniques. It seems almost to real to be a dream but I am quite certain it was. Also seeing as my radio was very quiet when I woke up.

Don't expect muxh up there just yet.
I'm quite proud of myself of remembering these in one night but the whole process seems rather awkward. If anyone can simplify the basics I would greatly appreciate it.

Also to the user, Bolt, sorry if my name offends you in any way. I have been using the name Bolt for quite a while and I wanted to stick with it.

      Hey, welcome to DV!!!

The simplest thing you can do to begin to get the hang of lucid dreaming is:

begin keeping a dream journal, and aim to remember your dreams every night. As you become more proficient, you should be remembering two or three a night.
When you are recalling dreams regularly, it's time to begin reality checking.

At regular points throughout the day, ask yourself if you could be in a dream. You don't have to do it out loud, you just have to think it. When you perform this reality check, be open to the possibility that you could indeed be dreaming, and look for things that prove you are indeed awake.
Techniques for this include looking at your hands; if they change shape at all, or you find you have extra fingers, chances are you are in a dream.
Another technique is to look at a digital watch. If the numbers seem peculiar, or the time changes rapidly, you are probably dreaming.

If you perform these checks regularly through the day, you will eventually find yourself doing it in a dream, and realising you are dreaming.!

Also, some people find that after they join DV, they have their first lucid dream a short time after. Some people find it takes a while.
The main thing is to be patient, because techniques can sometimes take a while to work, as you are training your brain to recognise something it doesn't ordinarily look for.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM us if you have any questions, and enjoy the forums!

As waves of plastic fame go out of fashion, You're going out (going out) forever unknown. These waves of plastic fame go out of fashion, You're going out (going out) forever unknown.

From above a rain of ashes descends anathema. I will remain, forever will remain. From below, in my seclusion, look up to the sky to see See paper wings and watch them burn.

      Hey, welcome.
Let us know of any questions you have, and be sure to check out the tutorials

You might want to start a dream journal. If you want it onsite, there's a section for it as well.

      Good luck

Gawd. That's the best idea I have seen so far. Although I couldn't be online at all yesterday. Check my thread about why my arm is burnt to the elbow. I will find where it's most suitable and that's where you will probably find it.
No dreams remembered last night. The hospital filled me with drugs =D

      I'm Kiwi =D

Btw I have been having dreams but I havn't been LDing because whenever I realise it's a dream I'm awake because of the scare factor. Twice I have had dreams of my arm being on fire and the first one was even scarier. Maybe because of the fact that I'd left the electric blanket on and the dream was about an extremly hot barrel of pertrol and the heat coming off it was burning me from over 10 metres after I had crawled away. Well Blue-Meanie knows what I'm taking about. I fully explained it on MSN.

Sorry about the double post but...

I have officially got a dream journal, set my watch on the hourly chime for the reality checking and printed off the information on the DV homepage. I've decided to take it seriously and try and remember as many dreams as possible. Yes, I remembered one last night =D
