I'm finding from reading other topics around the site, that length of sleeptime is really the clear indicator. There was something in a FAQ about not getting into REM sleep until after 5 hours of sleep?[/b]
Hey welcome to Dream Views!!!

I have found that my dream recall has seriously dropped because I am only getting 4-6 hours of sleep every night. I know when I sleep more I am able to recall my dreams more! Usually I recall dreams best when I wake up in the middle of the night or wake up (30 min method) and go back to sleep... but with only 4-6 hours of sleep every night that does not leave much time for this! I would recommend getting more sleep if you can. Hehe looks as if i need to take my own advice... but there ya go that's my 2 cents!
