Please help me, I don't know how much more of this I can take. Lately (over a period of about 4 months) I have been having these weird dreams. They are really realistic in the sense that whenever I have them, I retain all of my senses, which makes for a very interesting dreaming experience. I have only had three dreams like this, and they all take place over three days. I can tell you just about everything about these "Dream days" because I can recall everything I felt while I was dreaming, and therefore I felt like I had lived for 3 days in a short 6 hour time span. I have much more I could talk about, but I don't want to make this any longer. The last one I had, was by far the most terrible thing that has ever happened to me, and I am now afraid to fall asleep because I never want to experience that again. Please, if you can help me tell me, and ask any wuestions you might have. Please help me stop this.

First it is important for you to tell us any kind of drug or medication you may be on. I ask this only because it is a possible factor, it could have nothing to do with it.

Stephen LaBerge seemed set that Lucid dreams could be a useful device to abolish nightmares, as you could become conscious in them and change the overall theme. Whatever it is you experienced you need to keep in mind that it is simply a dream. Judging by just how much it scared you, night terrors (Scary dreams in stage 4 of sleep, Primally terrifying though rarely remembered) may be involved along with nightmares.

Take a deep breath, tell yourself the truth that it is not real, and realize you have a nice community here to help you.

Feel free to ask anything or talk.

Edit: Yeah, your best bet is in the "Nightmares/Recurring Dreams" section.

Well, trust me, I stay FAR away from drugs. I don't know if this helps anything, but I have a minor case of insomnia (always have) and I am a video game player. Now, I know that this is just a dream, but I am afraid of its potentials. At the end of my first one, which was a good dream, I was eating beef stew. Just when I woke up, I had a very distinct taste of it still in my mouth, and I was full. Also, when I am hurt in the dreams, I feel the pain. I know this sounds way stupid, but this is the only place I can come for help. These aren't normal dreams, and I want them to stop. Is there any way that I can do that?
