LD's can be very vivid. The more you practice, the better you will become. Like what Bonsay said, you can try to be more aware of your surrondings and more observent. I think its one of those things that you will find your own techniques on how to make them seam more real, and enjoyable.
When I was new to lucid dreaming, I was trying soo hard to have an LD. I later realized that I was trying to hard and this was what was holding back from having a lucid dream. So I just stopped everything I was doing(related to dreaming)for a week. Then I had a lucid dream.
Also what zxc said about the B6. A good source of B6 are banana's.
