      Talking

Hey people.. first thing I want to say is HIHO ALL

Well, yesterday I did a roundy lot of reading about LD, and felt like doing it (who wouldn't)..
I liked the WILD most because you can cousciously choose to LD or not, and although I knew it was harder than the others, I decided it would be my way

      The first try
Being really excited about LD and all, I surrendered to an afternoon nap (no real intent to get a LD, just to try the things I'd learnt, so that I'ld know more or less how it feels)..

Then I started to follow the WILD instructions (it was around 2:30). Well, I could indeed focus and all, stay motionless and not lose cousciousness... then I decided to use my imagination in order to sustain counsciousness, and started to mentally recreate things I do daily... After some time I felt really lost.. was still couscious, but I was kinda moving really fast (just like when you spin around and feel dizzy after doing it).. then I felt I was falling out of my bed for quite some time ... well then it slowly stopped and I woke up .. it was around 3:15

      finding this website
I took the rest of the afternoon to do some more research about WILDing, then eventually I found this website and its forum... subscribed for an account, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to post yet, as I needed an admin to validate my acount... so I checked some further websites before shutting down the PC.. did nothing interesting until sleeptime

      the scary second try
Sleeptime... great oportunity for some more wandering on the gates of the dream dimension... did almost exactly like I did in the afternoon.. But this time, I could focus easierly on staying counscious.. my mind didn't play tricks on me anymore and I could stay in the motionless state without interruptions

then..... suddenly I felt really strange ... it was like I could feel waves of energy going up and down my body, I started to breath harder, and felt like I was moving down... well then I kinda freaked out and woke up... I have no idea of what this feeling was, so I'm really confused about it

after that I tried to do the WILD again, but couldn't concentrate on staying counscious anymore.. so I just fell asleep

      ----

anyway, I know this was just my first day, but I'm really confused about this surges of energy I feel going thorugh my body, and about feeling really dizzy just before..

I wonder if any of you could gimme some advice? I know I'm not the highest standard of dream recalling, but I know I'm good at mind control

thanks in advance to all, and bear hugs

What you're feeling is the early stages of SP (Sleep Paralysis). It is totally natural when attempting the WILD, nothing to get freaked out about. I enjoy SP actually . Next time just sit back and enjoy it, knowing that it can't cause any harm to you.

btw I wonder if I'm doing it the right way, and how far it is from the SP to the LD... hopefully I can go a lil further tonight ^^

It sounds like you're doing it right. The time from the early stages of SP and getting into the dream depend on a lot of things, you'll have to test for yourself.

Yeah you are in the right direction. When you first encountered your "Scary Moment" did you have the sensation of any SP at all? SP is the gateway to Wilding as Vision stated. The key point is total relaxation. Once you have captured SP it is extremely important to stay relax and stay focused. I normally concentrate on breathing techniques and just relax and start picturing what my initial dream setting would be. But you are in the right direction just stay relaxed and try not to break SP when you have it. I know it get's uncomfortable sometimes but the transistion isn't as long to Lucidity if you stay focused.

      Good Luck!

well, for me to get to that scary moment I did some imagination working (best I could find to stay couscious), so I wouldn't be able to tell if what I saw was or not an hallucination...

also, I wonder if when I get to this I can stop my mental working and just focus independent of what I'm thinking

and by the way I didn't try to move, since most tutorials here told me to stay motionless, so I don't really know if there was a SP or not.. all I know is that it felt really strange... almost like adrenaline, but on the whole body

btw I wonder if my doing it immediately (not sleeping 5 hours then waking up) way could have changed anything?

      bear hugs
